Residents of the Fatih Sultan Mehmet and Baltalimanı neighborhoods in Sarıyer have once again brought their decades-long, unresolved property and title deed issues to the public's attention. Through a joint announcement, the neighborhood residents issued an open call to both local authorities and political parties operating in the district.
In the statement, it was emphasized that the right to housing is a constitutional right and that this chronic problem must now be resolved permanently with a non-partisan approach. Residents expressed that they expect concrete steps to be taken to end the long-standing uncertainty in their neighborhoods.
